EVALUATION:

Points are given for all assignments. Students are expected to arrive punctually for class and to adhere to the CODE of CONDUCT BOOK. Students are expected to bring to class daily all required supplies INCLUDING USB drives and be ready to begin class as soon as the bell rings. Not bringing supplies (especially USB drives) to class may result in a negative grade for that class period. Daily attendance is required and students, as well as their parents, should understand that excessive absences from class for any reason WILL negatively affect their class grade. Students are expected to work every day – no excuses accepted.

Assignments must be properly completed and submitted in a timely manner to receive full credit. The student’s grade is a direct result of their effort, attendance, and attitude toward their studies and is determined by a combination of points on class work, assessments, projects, quizzes, tests, as well as class attendance and class participation.

BOTTOM LINE: Average work will earn an average grade. If you expect to earn an A or B then work must be significantly ABOVE minimum requirements.

Homework is given as needed. However, students are usually expected to complete the majority of their class work DURING scheduled class time. Students must be observed working in class to receive a grade on an assignment (work completed outside of class without prior instructor approval may be subject to a grade of 0 points). Books may be borrowed/checked out if needed.
