FCAT Re-Take Date! March 9 , 2010! You can do it!
FCAT Reading is a class focused on preparing students to increase their reading comprehension, to become better readers, and to enjoy reading as a result of learning easy-to-use reading comprehension strategies.
Students in my FCAT Re-take Reading classes are 11th graders preparing to re-take the FCAT.
(The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) This is not a timed test and does not include written responses.
As a student in this class, it is important that you understand you are not students who have failed the FCAT, rather you are students who have achieved a certain level of reading comprehension. In this class we will be working together to increase your level of reading comprehension, and to raise your ultimate FCAT Reading SSS score. Our goal is to achieve a level 3 or higher, and an FCAT Reading SSS scale score over 300 in order to satisfy your graduation requirement.
We will be learning important test-taking tips and strategies, which will not only help with the FCAT, but also with any test you face in your future endeavors whether they are entrance exams for higher education, or professional tests for acceptance in a workplace.
