SPANISH II

As a continuation from Spanish I, Spanish II further exposes students to Spanish language and culture.  The Student will develop communicative skills and cross-cultural understanding.  Specific content includes, but is not limited to, building and strengthening skills in listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar.

¡Exprésate! 2 - Text book and Vocabulary & Grammar Workbook  (Holt, Rinehart and Winston)

SUPPLIES

  • Pen/pencil
  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Index cards
  • 3-Ring binder with divisors

GRADING

  • Grading will based on class assignments, tests, quizzes, homework and class participation.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to keep track of their grades.
  • Scores will be recorded into my computer/grade book and can be viewed on the Broward County’s Virtual Counselor system.

ASSIGNMENTS

  • All assignments are due at the beginning of the period.
  • Failure to turn in assignments on time will result in points taken off.
  • If you are ill or cannot attend school for any reason on the day an assignment is due, you must turn it in at the beginning of the period on your first day back.  (Assignments will be posted on teacher’s website.
  • Correct heading is required on every assignment in the upper right-hand corner of the paper or the back of project, as follows:

NAME (ex. John Doe)

DATE (ex. 20 de agosto del 2007)

COURSE (ex. Español II)

PERIOD (ex. 2nd Period)

RULES

  • Come prepared for class with daily-required materials.
  • When the bell rings you need to be in your assigned seat, paper and pen out and ready to work.
  • No cell phones, IPods, or any non-academic electronic device in class.  Keep it shut and out of site.
  • Keep hands, feet and all other body parts to yourself.
  • Do not talk when the Teacher is talking or while students are asking questions or presenting information.
  • Respect everyone and everything in the classroom at all times.
  • Bathroom issues should be addressed before or after class.
  • No eating, drinking, gum chewing or food of any kind in class.
  • Keep the classroom neat and clean as you found it on the first day.
  • ID’s must be worn daily.
  • When using laptops in class you are to stay on task at all times.
  • Teacher will dismiss the class not the bell.
