CLASSROOM  RULES

A. EXPECTATIONS:

1.In class be in your assigned seat and remain there during the whole

class time; be quiet and participate actively in the practices given by

the teacher.

2. Class activities are individual tasks and are due the same day.

No excuses!. "No work" and any kind of "cheating" = "F".

Homework activities are due next class day at the beginning of the

class time. Sometimes, the teacher can give specific directions for

turning in assignments.

3. Suggested supplies: "composition book" or folder for Spanish

where you take notes about grammar, vocabulary and complete

specific activities.

B. DISCIPLINE: all according to the Code of Student Conduct and

MHS regulations.

Special remark: cell-phones, iPods,etc alway in OFF position and

OUT OF SIGHT = in your bag or pocket.

Note that the location for your bag is in the rack of your seat, not

on your desk or on your lap.

C. PASSES:  you can use only TWO passes per month. And remember

always this school  rule: no passes during the first and the last 10

minutes of each period of class.

D. MAKE UP WORK: students are responsible for getting all assignments

on the day they return to class. No make-up will be accepted after one day

of the due date. No make-ups due to unexcused absences.

E. MAKE-UP TESTS AND QUIZZES: according to the teacher's directions.

    Note: quizzes and tests are always pre announced. Therefore, if you

are present when the teacher announces a test/quiz, you must take it,

even if you were absent the previous day.

F.EVALUATION for this course will be based upon the following: daily

class participation / class and home work/ quizzes and tests / assignments.

Class Participation ..........................................25%

Quizzes / "extra credit" ..................................25%

Tests ..............................................................30%
