SPANISH SPEAKERS LEVEL II, III AND IV
Course Descriptions
1. Engage in conversation nin Spanish to express feelings, ideas, and opinions a bout a variety of topics.
2. Demonstrate understanding of spoken and written Spanish on a variety of topics.
3. Present information and ideas in a formal manner in spoken and written Spanish, following the strategies of effective speech making.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of various aspects of Spanish culture(s), including contributions of writers, artists, and musicians of the Spanish language and culture(s).
5. Apply knowledge of Spanish language and culture(s) to further knowledge of other disciplines.
6. Analyze and use different patterns of communication appropriate to the setting.
7. Analyze and use different patterns of social intyeraction appropriate to the setting.
8. Demonstrate knowledge of wider communities of Spanish language and culture.
9. Respond critically to, analyze and create samples, in Spanish, a varied literary forms.
10.Use a variety of strategies to construct meaning from informative, technical, and literary texts written in Spanish.
11.Use systematic strategies to develop an extensive Spanish vocabulary.
12.Use writing processes to produce a variety of Spanish texts, for academic, business, and media purposes.
