Creative Writing is a course designed to enable students to develop writing skills in the genres of fiction, poetry, and screenplays through the study of relevant terminology, analysis of various authors and their works, and peer review.

Daily classroom activities will include free writes, group reading and activities, class discussion, and silent reading.  Students will be exposed to several authors from various genres and subgenres in order to analyze different styles and apply these styles to their own writing.  Genres to be studied will include selected works of poetry, fiction, and script writing.  Students will also be required to keep a writerŐs notebook.
