1. Course Number and Title: Spanish II

2. Course Description:
This is a level 2 course for students
with previous knowledge of the
Spanish language. Those having taken level 1 in 7th and
8th grade
Spanish or Level 1 in the high school.

6. Course Overview: Spanish 2 is a continuation class from
Spanish1.
Students will continue to acquire new vocabulary and
practice their
listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Focus is

placed on
understanding main ideas and practicing conversational
skills. The students
will continue to examine the beliefs and values of Spanish-
speaking cultures.

7. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course,
students should be able
to:
Identify vocabulary words, both new words and those
words previously acquired in Level I Spanish.
Compare "foreign" culture to our own
Create conjugated verbs in the present tense, past tense,
imperative tense and subjunctive mood
