         • All previous assignments listed below (if you have EXCUSED absences)

         • "Bug's Eye View"- download to file folder in class computer.  We will have a class critique on this assignment.

         • Video movie reviews on videos about Alfred Stieglitz and Dorothea Lange

         • Your own video notes on National Geographic Photographers and The Adventure of Photography selection of photographers. You will be asked to compare and contrast 4 photographers of your choice from the DVD.

 

Week 16 Assignment Schedule

•Wow, I didn't know that!  From your igoogle account, share ONE thing you learned from the eight different sites. This means EIGHT new things you learned each week. online critique of  "Lights, Camera, Image". Comment on 10 of the photos.  Due Wednesday Dec 3.

•Photo Shoot: "What's The Word?"  Take an individual photo of a certain object that resembles a letter.  When you place all the photos together, they should spell a word. You MUST shoot the orientation the same for each photo (either all horizontal or all vertical).  You MUST print these out and mount them.  Due Wednesday November 26

  • Photo Shoot: "People in Their Environment". Capture people in an interesting environment.  For example, mom/dad cooking in kitchen, someone working under the hood of their car, people shopping, kids at their jobs, people swimming or surfing, etc.  You MUST make this an interesting shot.  Use what you have in your "photo suitcase" from the HUNT assignment.  Due Monday November 17.

Week 9 Assignment Schedule

  • Using the History of Photography handout, find information about the photographers showcased in the DVD.  In addition to the photographers in the DVD, answer the questions on the "Historical Background" worksheet.
  • Peruse the magazines and find an INTERESTING photo.  Glue the image on 12 x 18, 60# paper.  Write an INTERESTING story about the image.  You must answer: who, what, where, when, why.  Your story must make me feel, hear, smell, "see" what is happening!!  It must be legible.  Watch your grammar and spelling!
