Science Fair Project Protocol

A.   Construct/assemble Demonstration Board according to diagram shown on two-page

      Instruction package

B.   DO NOT attach report to back of Board  --> Hand it in SEPARATELY with your Project !!!

C.   Project REPORT must be at least 3 pages in length  (limit 5 pages TOTAL)

      -->  Page count DOES NOT INCLUDE Title Page

      -->  Typed, double-spaced, 0.8-1” margins,  10-12 point font

      -->  Must SKIP AT LEAST ONE space (*double-spaced) between each heading

      1.   FIRST PAGE is Title Page -- includes Name, Date, Period, Instructor’s name, and Title

            of Project

      2.   SECOND PAGE begins the Body of the Project Paper, which includes the following topic headings

            in the prescribed order:

            a.  Problem Statement

            b.  Research Information/Background -- **must include citations!!!!!

            c.  Hypothesis Statement

            d.  Experiment Description and Details  --  **must include Procedure Steps, and Independent

                 and Dependent Variable!!!!!

            e.  Summary of Data  --  experiment results, BUT NO Data Tables or Charts

            f.  Conclusion

            g.  Cited sources (Bibliography)

****I understand that failure to submit a Science Fair Project will result in a significant overall

         COURSE GRADE deduction of 1.5 letter grades
