THE FOLLOWING IS EXPECTED:

All seniors must come to class prepared to learn.

All should have lined paper, pencils and pens with blue or black ink, blank, white paper ( for printing typed assignments ), a lined

notebook, journal that will be used to promote critical thinking skills.

I will not supply the above materials.

We will study British Literature with an emphasis on writing skills.

Writing assignments will be collected promptly on due dates; a penalty will follow if submitted late. Exceptions will only apply to excused absences according to Broward County District rules.

A grading scale is posted on class bulletin board as follows:

Homework: 10%

Writing Assignments: 25%

Tests: 30%

Quizzes: 20%

Classwork: 15%

An average student who complies with all assignments may earn a C.

One who goes beyond what is asked may earn a B.

One who excells may earn an A.

Students sign a contract with me stating that they have read and understand what is mentioned above. I keep the

contracts on file.
