Make-Up Work

1. All students are responsible for assignments missed while absent.

2. The student must ask the teacher for the missed assignment.

3. For classroom assignments, the student has two days to make up the work.

4. Any long term project or assignment must be turned on the day the student returns to school

Grading Policy

The students will be graded on

1. Class Participation

2. Written Test & Quizzes

3. Playing Test & Quizzes

4. Homework Assignments

5. Projects

6. Performance Participation (Band & Eurhythmics ONLY)

All performances, class participation, tests & quizzes, and assignments will be weighed equally but some will be worth more points than others.

Class Participation will be 10 points a day. At the end of the week I will add up the points and multiply them by two so it will be out of 100 points.

Daily Procedures

1. Come in with ID tag visible

2. Look for objectives and assignments          

3. Sit down and follow instructions on board or ones given verbally

4. DO NOT play instrument unless instructed or told otherwise

Class Rules

1. DO NOT talk while the teacher is instructing or in front of the class

2. Raise your hand if you have a question or need help

3. Must bring all required materials for class each day or points will be deducted

4. Disrespect to the teacher or peer (talking back, offensive words, name calling, horseplay, etc.)

5. NO food, gum, or drink in the room at any time!!

6. No playing the instrument unless instructed or told otherwise

7. ID Tags must be visible when student walks through the door and all during class

8. DO NOT touch any equipment, lockers, instruments, or other materials in the room that are NOT YOURS!!!

Expectations

1. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!

2. Turn in all homework assignments and projects ON TIME

3. Show improvement in playing abilities

4. Be prepared for class!!
