2.  If you have NOT completed all the assignments to date, it is an opportunity to complete them. After two weeks, grades for this week will close and you will not be allowed to make up any of the work. Example: you have until 2/10/12 to complete this weeks work, or the grades will be closed.

Not every Friday is a make-up day, so be sure to work on past due assignments when time presents itself.

Advertisers have been quick to capitalize on psychological research into the effects of color on our emotions and perceptions. The ads we watch use this knowledge to evoke feelings or memories that make us want the goods on display, but it is not only in advertising that colors are chosen to have a subconscious effect on the viewer.

Research has, for instance, led many employers to use a green color scheme in the workplace, as there is evidence to suggest that this results in less absenteeism through illness. At the University of Iowa, Hawkeye Coach Hayden Fry had the locker room used by visiting teams painted pink, on the basis of research that showed pink surroundings have the effect of reducing aggression!

Whether or not we—or indeed they—are aware of it, visitors to our Web sites, too, will make assumptions about the nature, quality, reliability, and value of our products or services as a result of the colors we use.

Professional printing processes, whether they are for full color images or as in today's assignment no more than 4 colors, the process uses CMYK to produce the final product. This question is covered several times on the Adobe Certified Associate Exam.

Use any of the brushes available, and you may need to find patterns and images to apply in the background to get the same effects. Set their layer blend modes so the images you choose do not stand out more than the main part of the image.

Hatch and Fowler prints style uses no more than 4 colors and shades of those colors. If you use photos, be sure to apply Adjustments to Threshold or other way to reduce the image to the four colors you choose.
