I hope that you each had a wonderful, safe summer where you continued to nurture your mind. I have attached a reading list, which you can use for enjoyable reading throughout the school year. In addition, I have posted some great Scholarship opportunities that some of you may be able to benefit from. This school year is the perfect opportunity to start to prepare for your future.

Classroom Procedures:
I understand that in order to create an effective and efficient learning environment I must adhere to the following rules.
1 Come to class on time, quietly and take assigned seat.
2 Start journal assignment or work on board as soon as you enter classroom.
3 Do not chew gum, eat or drink in class.
4 Do not bring I-pods, or games to class.
5 Use appropriate language at all times.
6 Respect yourself, your classmate’s, the teacher and school property.
7 Wait to be dismissed by the teacher at the end of the period.
8 Raise your hand and wait to be recognized by the teacher in order to speak in class.
9 Raise your hand and get permission before getting out of your seat.
10 Follow school rules, class rules, and class expectations.
Assignments:
