Welcome Knights, to Biology at Monarch High School.  This semester will bring many new adventures and new challenges.  I wish you the best of luck in your first semester at Monarch.  I look forward to getting to know each one of you.

Required Materials

  • 3 ring notebook
  • Subject dividers
  • Pens (blue or black)
  • Pencils
  • Folder
  • Lines notebook paper
  • Markers

Classroom Procedures:

  • Come prepared to class EVERYDAY!  You must be ready to learn as soon as the bell rings!
  • Be sure to be in your assigned seat!  Failure to do so will result in an absence.
  • If you are in the hall as the bell rings you will be marked tardy and you will not be allowed into the classroom.
  • All students will respect one another at all times as well as behave in a mature and appropriate manner.  Misconduct will not be tolerated and an administrator will be notified, as well as parents or guardian.
  • Do not bring food or drink in the classroom. 
  • No gum is allowed in the classroom.
  • No cell phones are allowed in the classroom.  If a cell phone is visible it will be confiscated.
  • The class is ninety minutes long; during these ninety minutes learning will take place.  I ask that you do not get ready to leave or actually get up from your seat until I dismiss you!
  • Science is all about asking questions.  Never hesitate to ask a question! Chances are, someone else needs to know the answer as well.

Laptop Procedure:

  • Laptops are ONLY used when I permit them!
  • No HEADPHONES!!!

Attendance

  • You are expected to come to school everyday.
  • You are expected to make up all work if you are absent.
  • Unexcused and excused absences will receive 2 days for each absent day to make up work.
