CLASSROOM RULES
1.  Students must be in their assigned seat before the bell rings.  If a student is not in their assigned seat, he or she will be marked tardy.
2.  I.D. Badges must be worn at all times every day.

3.  Students must bring three (3) items to class EVERY day:

  • Their composition notebook
  • A writing utensil (pen or pencil)
  • Loose leaf paper
4. Composition notebooks may be collected on any given day for a grade.  Any student who does not have a notebook the day it is collected will receive  a grade of zero.  No exceptions!

5. Assignments/Projects are due on the specific date given! Late work will not be accepted!  IMPORTANT:  If a student is aware that he or she will be absent on date their assignment/project is due, then it is that student's responsibility to make arrangements with me to turn in their assignment before their absence. If a student is absent due to illness on the date an assignment/project is due, he or she must turn it in the day they return to school accompanied by a note from their parent/guardian.

6. For all other assignments, make-up work will be given for a grade only if the absence is excused. Again, it is the student's responsibility to obtain and complete make-up assignments.

7. Participation is part of the class and a grade will be assigned for classroom participation.
8. Cell phones, ipods, mp3 players, cameras and/or any other electronic devices will be confiscated and turned over to school security upon sight as per school policy.

10.Copying any assignment from another student is considered cheating and will be dealt with according to the student handbook.
11.Plaegerism WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!  Any instance of plagiarism will result in a zero for the assignment, a referral and contact with parent/guardian.
12.Grades are posted on Pinnacle on a regular basis.  It is imperative that parents use this tool to ascertain their child's academic progress.
13.In an effort to conserve paper, additional copies for lost materials cannot be provided!  This includes worksheets, study guides, project assignments and instructions or any other printed materials pertaining to this class.
14.Any student that engages in behavior which disrupts the learning environment of this class will be disciplined.  This includes, but is not limited to, excessive talking, shouting, or noise-making.  While a healthy exchange of ideas and opinions are encouraged, disrespect toward teacher, substitute teacher and fellow students will not be allowed.  A single warning will be administered and a review of the guidelines for classroom behavior will be provided before disciplinary action is taken.
