Materials Required: Proper dress out clothes and shoes

Course Purpose: To provide students with the opportunity to develop an individual optimal level of physical fitness through cardiovascular exercise.


Classroom Requirements:
*Be in the locker room before the tardy bell rings on activity days
*Do not share clothing or lockers
*Dress out on activity days regardless of weather conditions
*Be on time to class, that means in the locker room when the bell rings
*Use appropriate social skills, showing respect for others at all times
*Be a “Knight” exhibit all characteristics found in the knights code of chivalry
*Improper dress or behavior can and will result in dismissal from the classroom environment by way of a referral


Grading system:
At the end of each nine-week period each student will receive a letter grade. The grade will be based on dress out and participation (50%), skill assessments (25%), and the aerobic presentation at the end of the nine weeks (25%).


Make Up Policy:
If you are absent from class on an activity day you will be required to make up that days points by reading an article, summarizing it, and making a web of the main idea and the supporting facts, by running one mile after school, or by doing an FCAT worksheet that I will provide for you. It is at the teacher’s discrepancy which assignments will be completed for the absence.
