I Am Poem
Romeo and Juliet

The ‘I Am’ Poem is designed to introduce a character from the play Romeo and Juliet. Follow the model below to write your ‘I Am’ Poem. Remember you are writing the poem from the viewpoint of the character. Include at least one simile and a metaphor. The poem must be typed (Times New Roman, Courier, Verdana, or Arial font sized at 12”, double-spaced) and include pictures, graphics, clipart, photos, drawing, or a collage to accompany your finished product. Use significant and symbolic images from the play, e.g. dagger, heart, potion, etc.
