Bofshever NW XC Championship @ Tradewinds Park

Douglas sophomore Brad Robeson won the boys' title in 17 minutes 44 seconds, and senior Lindsay Lucas of Taravella was the top girls' finisher in 20:49 at the Bofshever Northwest Community Cross-Country Championships on Tuesday at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek.

''I was pretty confident I would be contending for the top spot [Tuesday],'' said Robeson, who missed much of last season with a hip injury. ``Everything is going great this season. We have the county race coming up, and I should get in the Top 10. I will aim for the Top 5, but that will be tough.''

Coral Springs had five finishers in the Top 10 to win the girls' team title for the fifth consecutive season. Taravella placed four of its top five in the Top 10 to win the boys' team championship.

Douglas was runner-up in boys and girls. The Eagles had four girls in the Top 10 with the boys posting three underclassmen in the Top 10.
